Ms Mariya Mobeen is the SEN co-ordinator in school

Her role in school is to ensure all children are safe, happy and learning and she manages the following:

  • Children with special educational needs
  • Learning mentors
  • Speech and Language Therapist
  • Educational Psychologist
  • Family Support worker
  • Comets
  • New to English

So if you have any concerns about your child with regard to any of these, please call at the office to make an appointment.

The School Nurses, Mandy, Beverly and Christina

The nurses hold a drop in session in school once a fortnight on Tuesday mornings. They are available to talk to from 8.30 – 9.00am in the reception area.  They can help with continence, sleeping, behaviour and general health problems. Its good to talk to someone and they may be able to help you with your problems. Check with reception for dates or watch out for a text message from school telling you when they are in.

 Mrs Sheena Khan who is our Family Support Worker

She can help you in the following areas


  • Developing physical and emotional skills
  • Developing routines
  • General parenting support
  • Understanding effective ways to deal with behavioural difficulties
  • Benefits, letters and forms
  • Learning how to educate children through play
  • Practical support
  • Parenting courses, family links and triple P

If there is anything that the family support worker can not deal with, you will be signposted to the appropriate service.
